Interlocking driveways, walkways and patios

Driveways, driveway expansions, walkways and patios, built on a properly compacted base so they stay level.

Interlocking

Hardscape that lasts

Interlocking is what people see first when they pull up to your home. Done right, it stays level for years. Done wrong, it settles, dips and holds water. The difference is the base and the drainage, so that is where we start.

  • Driveways and driveway expansions
  • Walkways and front step landings
  • Patios and backyard seating areas
  • A properly compacted base so everything stays level

How a project runs

1. Site visit and design

We look at the area, the levels and where the water needs to go, then agree the layout, pattern and stone colour with you.

2. Excavation and base

The old surface comes out and we build up a compacted granular base, because the base is what keeps interlocking from settling.

3. Laying and edging

Stones are set in your pattern over a levelling layer and held in place with edge restraint, with cuts made neatly around corners and curves.

4. Finishing and cleanup

The surface is compacted, the joints are filled, and we sweep up and leave the driveway ready to use.
